``PERSONALITY At first, Ade seems like your average pretty girl. Yeah, think again. She can be sweet and nice and will do just about anything for the few who are really important to her, but she really isn't the most easy going person. She can get quite feisty and can pick fights with the best of them. In the past few years her rational side has matured and she has learned to pick her battles and figure out when is the time to back off. The girl isn't stupid after all. Ade likes company and can often be seen hanging around a starbucks or the park or somewhere around the barn when she has some free time. She doesn't always need to be talking to someone, but just being around people is good enough. When she was younger, Ade was a social butterfly and would talk to just about anybody. Since her father’s death, Ade has become much more standoffish and it takes a while for Ade to warm up to people. Ade’s worst fear is having people she cares about leave her in some way. In new places, Ade used the be the last one to open her mouth. When people approached her, her words were awkward and strained and often very sarcastic. Most people just assumed she was bitch and left her alone. Of course there were some who could see through her bullshit and give as good as they get and those are the people Ade gets along with best. However, since Sam came along, Ade has been forced out of her comfort zone and her people skills have improved dramatically. Ade’s number one priority right now is taking care of Sam and being the best mother she can be. Yes, it sounds cliche but becoming a parent changes a person and it’s impacted Ade’s life dramatically. Protective doesn’t quite cover it when it comes to her little boy and that works for Ade. Ade used to be a bit of a party girl and was a freqent visitor at Phoenix Flame. Not anymore. Ade has mellowed out a lot in the past couple of years and if she’s not at the barn, she is most likely curled up on the couch with Sammy and one of her critters.[/blockquote]
time and time again you wait for me to come in
``HISTORY
Adriana was born right here in Wellington, Florida a little over twenty three years ago. Her mother was just starting medical school and her father was working any job he could find after graduating from college. The two met through Lena's brother. Adrian was her brother's roommate during their senior year of college. The two really didn't git it off at first, but once the alcohol starting flowing, their opinions of each other greatly changed. What started as 'friends with benefits' turned into something more serious when Lena suspected that she was pregnant two months after they started 'seeing' each other. It was a false alarm, but another two months later, it was for real and Adriana Leah Sheppard was born. Adrian and Lena decided not to get married but were together for Ade's sake. This arangement stayed in place until Ade's younger sister Dana was born. After Dana's birth, Adrian and Lena finally got married; Ade was her mother's maid of honor even though she was only five years old. When Ade was ten, her mother was approached by a former school mate about opening up a practice up north in Conecticut. Lena agreed and the family packed up and settled down in Simsbury, CT. The Sheppards settled in quickly and Lena's practice was off to a good start. Adrian decided to become a firefighter, a decision that was quite out of the blue, but his family supported him.
It was about this time that Ade started getting into horses and started taking lessons at a dressage barn. She decided fairly quickly though, that dressage was not the thing for her and begged her mother to let her switch to an eventing or hunter/jumper barn. Anything would do as long as she could jump. The hunter/eq/jumper barn was closer to home and that was where she went. Ade took weekly lessons for two years there before her trainer found a horse that Ade could lease. Her parents agreed and Ma was inducted into the family. Ade and Ma did everything, from hunters to jumpers, to even entering a barrel race just for the hell of it.
September 11, 2001. Ade and her father had taken a trip to NYC for Ade's upcoming fourteenth birthday. Thay had planned to go see a broadway show and go out to dinner before heading home, but when the first plane crashed, everything changed. Adrian made sure Ade was safe in their hotel room before going to the towers to try and help. That was the last time Ade ever saw her father. Later, after her mother and sister had driven to NYC, they found out that Adrian had gotten trapped under the rubble and debries when a lower level of one of the towers that was thought to have been stable collapsed.
They stayed in Connecticut for almost six months before the Sheppards couldn't take it anymore and they moved once again. There was debate on whether or not to return to Wellington, but there were too many memories of Adrian so that option was cut down swiftly. Penslvania became their new home and since Ade refused to leave without her, Ma came along to after Lena bought the mare. After Adrian's death, Ma became Ade's life. Her grades dropped and Ade skipped classes to spend time at the barn. It was here that her show career started to shape itself and take off. Hours upon hours were spent in the saddle and eventually, Ade was given Rino as her pet project. When she went to college, Ade brought Ma and Rino with her. And once she graduated and made the decision to return to her original home of Wellington, Ade knew she had to face her past and try to overcome her demons.
Since she’s been back in Florida, Ade has come a long way. Reconnecting with her childhood friends, the Parker sisters, finding out she was having her best friend’s baby and then being ditched by said best friend, having to retire her wonderful first horse after an injury, life has been one hell of a roller coaster for Ade. Things were pretty quiet for Ade after she welcomed little Samuel Adrian Sheppard into her life but now that Sammy is a little older, Ade is starting to get back into the swing of things and continue on with her life.[/blockquote]

``SHOW NAME paint the town
``BARN NAME rino
``BREED american paint horse
``AGE twelve years
``GENDER gelding
``HEIGHT 16.1 hands high
``COLOR bay paint
``PERSONALITYRino's quite a moody little bastard and if he wasn't so damn good at his job, he probably would have been sold long ago. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, Rino is a superstar in the show ring and a great teacher. Rino is a grouchy guy who would like nothing more than to be left alone. The only positive response you will ever get from him is if you have a treat of some sort to give him. He is very standoffish in his stall and frequently kicks out at the wall when being saddled. However, no matter how grumpy he gets and nasty he looks, Rino has never hurt a person. He has only ever take his moodiness out on the wall. When being ridden, Rino doesn't like to be too close to other horses and likes his personal space. If his rider gets him too close to another horse, Rino will do something about it whether you like it or not. This is usually only something minor, like going around the intruder, but there are a few instances when he has been truly pissed off and has gone after other horses while working. But that's only at home during schooling and if he’s in a really bad mood. In the almost ten years that Ade has had him, that has only happened twice. Rino definitely knows when it's time to strut his stuff in the show ring and is a horse show veteran. He has absolutely beautiful movement and is always noticed. He somehow always knows where the judge is sitting and puts out that little bit extra every time he passes the judge's booth. He definitely has the goods to be a champion and is well on his way to becoming a hunter superstar. Too bad he doesn't have the consistent attitude to match.
``HISTORY Ade met Rino when she was still living in Pennsylvania. He came in as a project sale horse. Except because of his bad attitude, no one really wanted to deal with him. Ade hadn’t been fond of him at first either but she lost a bet and he became her personal chore. However, once she figured him out Rino quickly became one of her favorites. When Ade went to college she bought Rino and took him with her along with her other horse Ma. Since they have been in Wellington, Rino has become a familiar site in the hunter ring on the A circuit.
``OTHER his favorite color is red lol
``SHOW NAME let’s roll guys
``BARN NAME gamble
``BREED trakehner
``AGE eight years
``GENDER stallion
``HEIGHT 16.3 hands
``COLOR chestnut
``PERSONALITY Gamble is the most good natured horse that Ade owns. Even though he is a stallion, Gamble isn't too high strung and isn't difficult to handle. He has energy but it comes out as manageable exuberance not nastiness. When he gets really nervous he can be spooky and the nerves kick in and the best thing is to just put him back in his stall and let him settle. He tries really hard to do what you ask of him, but when he really doesn't get something, he really doesn't get it. It takes him time to figure things out but once he does, he's got it down. He is a total snuggler and loves to be with people. He would prefer to stand with Ade at the fence with his nose on her shoulder than go eat like everyone else. He enjoys treats, what horse doesn't, but they are not a big motivating factor in his world.
``HISTORY Gamble got his name because Ade literally took a gamble on him. She did what every horse person knows not to do. She saw an ad for the horse online and decided to buy him based on the fact that he looked nice in a four minute youtube video. It could have ended in disaster, but so far, Ade's gamble on Gamble has paid off. He is a jumper through and through, mainly because that's all he's ever known. He's green when it comes to flatwork. Lead changes, bending, adjustability, and all that fun stuff are not in his vocabulary, but Ade is working on it. Gamble has a huge step and has cleared everything Ade's put him to, she just has to work on the stuff that comes inbetween the fences.
